Essential Pre-Tattoo Precautions
Before your appointment, it's crucial to follow certain precautions after getting a tattoo for a smooth experience. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand, and inform us about any medications you're taking, recent treatments, or past health issues. If your skin is tanned, consider postponing to ensure the best results. Book your session in advance, as appointments are mandatory, and please note that we reserve the right to pause your session if you arrive under the influence of any substance.
Tattoo Upkeep
**Cleaning**
Gently rinse the tattoo with clean, room-temperature water twice or three times daily. Pat dry in the direction of hair growth using a paper towel.
**Ointment**
After cleaning, wait about 30 minutes, then apply a very thin layer of the recommended ointment. Using too much ointment can blur the lines of your tattoo.
**Routine**
Perform the cleaning and ointment steps once each morning before your shower and once at night, two hours before bed. Continue this routine for 10–15 days, or as advised by your artist.
Important Healing Guidelines
During the healing process, be sure to avoid alcohol for 10–15 days. Refrain from spicy, starchy, citric, or very hot foods during this period. Do not use soap, shampoo, or expose the tattoo to water when bathing for 10–15 days. Additionally, keep your tattoo away from direct sunlight, dust, stress, and heavy sweating. It's essential to skip strenuous activities, such as gym workouts, running, or lifting, until fully healed. No swimming, waxing, henna, or other skin treatments for 45–60 days. To enhance your precautions after a tattoo, ensure you shield your tattoo from unclean environments and wind exposure when riding a bike for 10–15 days.
